Dr. Nicholas “Nick” Crapser serves as Chief Clinical Officer for Clear Path Treatment Services, where he provides strategic leadership for the organization’s clinical programs, evidence-based treatment model, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
A nationally recognized leader in behavioral health, Dr. Crapser is a licensed and board-certified mental health counselor, substance use disorder counselor, and clinical supervisor with nearly two decades of experience across the full continuum of addiction and mental health treatment. His clinical background spans medically managed detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient care, correctional behavioral health, and community-based recovery services.
Prior to joining Clear Path, Dr. Crapser served in executive clinical leadership roles overseeing multidisciplinary treatment teams and innovative behavioral health programs. While leading mental health services within the Oregon State Penitentiary, he developed a groundbreaking Peer Recovery Mentor program that trained adults in custody as Certified Recovery Mentors and helped establish a diversion program modeled after Drug Court principles. His work has been recognized as an innovative approach to improving recovery outcomes and reducing recidivism.
Dr. Crapser is an accomplished educator, speaker, and advocate whose expertise has been sought by universities, healthcare organizations, and national conferences across the country. He has presented on addiction treatment, recovery, criminal justice reform, and behavioral health at TEDx, Rutgers University, Oregon State University, Columbia University, Arizona State University, and numerous national professional conferences.
Throughout his career, Dr. Crapser has remained committed to advancing compassionate, evidence-based treatment that addresses the whole person. His leadership philosophy emphasizes clinical excellence, accountability, innovation, and the belief that lasting recovery is possible when individuals receive personalized care in a supportive and respectful environment.
As Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Crapser leads the development of Clear Path’s clinical vision, ensuring every program reflects the highest standards of care while empowering patients to build meaningful, healthy, and sustainable lives in recovery.

Dr. Nichols is a board-certified physician in both Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine with a career dedicated to expanding access to high quality, evidence-based care for individuals affected by substance use disorders. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Nichols provides the medical leadership for Clear Path Treatment Services, ensuring every client receives compassionate, evidence-based care grounded in clinical excellence and dignity.
